We are a diverse community of people who are discovering what it means to share God’s love.  We don’t have all of the answers. We are just like you, trying to discover what God is all about and what His plan is for our lives.

We believe that practical teaching is necessary to transform people’s lives. Scripture is inspired by God and is our authority regarding Christian beliefs and is a guide for Christian living.

What to Expect

Dress

Dress how you feel comfortable. Some people dress casual. Some wear a suit and tie.

Parking

We use our church parking lot, the neighboring church’s parking lot, and street parking.

Security

We have a security team that walks the block and uses cameras to watch our cars and buildings.

Welcome

Besides a warm greeting, our welcome team will give you a welcome packet and show you around, if you like.

Kids

We have various kids’ classes on Saturdays at 9:30am, as well as outings and special programs at other times. We have free child care for kids ages 2-9 during our 10:45am worship service. However, they’realso welcome in our worship service. All volunteers go through a screening program and background check. Your kids will be loved and cared for in a safe and friendly environment.

A basic overview of our beliefs…

Only Jesus
God sent His Son Jesus to this world to save us from our sins. Our sin problem isn’t simply about changing outward behaviors and practices. It’s also about changing the inner person: our thoughts, desires, motives, and attitudes. Only Jesus, living in us through the Holy Spirit, can do this.
It's a Process
When we first ask Jesus to be our Lord and Savior we begin this process. As we ask Jesus to come into our lives again everyday throughout our day, we continue this process. At times we need to apologize to God and others, because we didn’t say or do the right thing. Sometimes we fall back into old habits and need help getting out. We haven’t arrived yet. We’re growing in Christ.
God's Love
God doesn’t condemn us. He loves us and helps us repent and grow step by step. Our hope isn’t based on our flimsy and wavering love for God, but in God’s abounding unconditional love for us. This love was fully revealed in Jesus’ death on the cross for us.
We've Been Accepted
Jesus lived a perfect life and died a perfect death. He was resurrected on the third day and is now at the right hand of God. God the Father has accepted Jesus in human flesh as humanity’s representative. This is evidence that He loves and has accepted all of humanity in Jesus Christ. It’s our choice to allow God and His love into our lives.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit makes everything Jesus accomplished for us effective in our lives. He delivers us from addictions and all kinds of sins, and from past hurts, wrongs, and emotional damage. He fills us with love and all the fruit of the Spirit. He gives us spiritual gifts and a purpose in life. We seek a fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit everyday and throughout our day.
Prayer, Bible Study and Mission
Prayer deepens our relationship with Jesus and fills us with the Holy Spirit. Bible study helps us better understand what Jesus has accomplished for us and gives us guidance for daily living. We believe the entire Bible is the inspired word of God. Prayer and Bible study empower us to share the love of God with others through our actions and words. This is our mission.
Jesus is Coming Back
We have the hope of Jesus returning to this earth and making all things new! There will be no more tears, pain, sorrow, or death. We look forward to living forever with God and our loved ones!

I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge–that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Our Lead Pastor – Pastor Dave Peckham, and his wife Cheryl joined Stockton Central SDA Church on November 19th, 2022.  Pastor Dave was born to missionary parents, grew up in South Africa, and has been in the Lord’s work his whole life.  He and his wife were pastoring in Southern California for 19 years, prior to coming to Stockton Central.  Come and meet our pastor and see why we are so excited to have he and his wife as a part of our church family.
